I have a current obsession with over-the-knee boots. I first spotted some whilst browsing in Primark, they were black faux suede with studs and fringing detail (they look quite similar to the Faith ones below, second from the left). I absolutely loved them, but of course size 6 being the most common shoe size, they weren't to be found. I've since found some similar ones on the River Island website, but being priced at £85 instead of around £15 at Primark, I think I'll hold out and hope I manage to find some in my size.
Flat Boots:
I prefer flat over-the-knee boots as they are more casual and can be worn in the day time. I think they would look amazing paired with tights and a casual slouchy mini dress with a cute jacket, or they could be worn with leggings or skinny jeans. I think my problem will be finding boots that will actually sit on my thigh. Being 5'9, I'm a bit concerned they will only reach my knee!
Heeled Boots:
I also love the look of high-heeled thigh boots, but they would require careful planning with the outfit to keep them looking classy and avoid looking too Pretty Woman! But they look like they would keep you nice and warm on a night out!
These beauties are Christian Louboutin, and I think they may be the boots Madonna is sporting in her new video. I love them!I think I'll be sticking to the flat boots though as I'll get more wear out of them and can pair them with different outfits.
What do you all think of over-the-knee boots? Will you be buying some this Autumn?
Id love a pair of the heeled boots, I've fell in love with them ever since I watch devil wears prada when she's stood outside with the black boots and those long channel beads! So yummie. I'm too scared id look abit of a plonker in them though. I supose its so easy to look trashy. Is it worth the risk? I love the flats though! X

ReplyDeleteAnn Taylor has some really great flat over-the-knee boots but as always they never have my size. Im a size 5 and Its difficult for me to find shoes i love because they naver have my size...unless i go to the kids section lol.

Im loving them and im going to be looking out for some on my next visit to primark :) Ill probably go for flat as ill get more wear out of them, or maybe a small heel :) xx

ReplyDeleteOMG those boots are so hot! I don't know if I'd be able to pull them off though, I'm so short that on me they'd look like crotch-high boots, LOL
ReplyDeleteI love over the knee boots, just wish I could wear them, my calfs are too skinny and its a nightmare finding a pair that fit! May have to spend a fortune and get a pair custom made! I'm in love with the studded ones!
