As Winter descends upon us I find my natural ghostly pallor returning at an alarmingly rapid rate. Time to reach for the fake tan! As I'm so fair skinned, I look for a tan that will provide a deep colour in only one application. Enter Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe!
This provides an instant sheer colour to the skin, gradually developing into a lovely deep olive colour. Not only does it give a gorgeous colour, it contains Vitamin E, Shea Butter and anti-oxidants. These goodies mean the formulation is akin to a luxurious body lotion; it's very moisturising and leaves skin feeling soft, a great bonus as I find some other brands rather drying.
Instead of the usual mouldy biscuit scent we've all become so familiar with (an ex-boyfriend once sniffed me and announced I smelled dirty, lovely!), Xen-Tan has a vanilla scent. I did find this a little sickly sweet after applying it to my entire body, but I know I'd rather smell of cupcakes than mould and it does leave a softer, lingering scent.
At £25.95, it is a little pricey compared to other brands, but the bottle is a big 236ml which will last a long time and you can guarantee this will leave you beautifully bronzed. For those of you who are more apprehensive when it comes to tanning or prefer to have more control over the colour, Xen-Tan Transform Luxe is a gradual tanner that allows you to build up your tan slowly. This is also great for extending your tan in between using Xen-Tan Deep Bronze. I'd love to try Xen-Tan in mousse form next for those lazy days when I need a really quick fix!
I've tried the Xen Tan Intense Mousse and I love it!It gives a really natural tan with no orangey tinge or funny smell. I may have to try this version now to see if it's EVEN better! Great post x
