My New ASOS Watch

My new watch arrived today and I love it! I've not worn a watch since I was about 12, so I thought it was about time I bought a nice one. ASOS have some gorgeous watches, which is where I spotted this one:
It's £24.50 on the website, but I got mine off ebay for £13. Another watch being sold at ASOS is this Guess Swarovski watch for £145:
How similar do they look?! The ASOS version is basically a complete copy with a few minor differences. I actually prefer the ASOS one though, the face is less busy.

My Natural Complexion

After reading Laura's 'Then & Now' post I started having a look through some of my old photo's. I came across some that show my true skin colour. I was about 18 at the time and not into fake tan, so these pics will show you how truly white I am!

I do actually quite like how I look here, but personally I find is so difficult and time consuming to try and look good with such pale skin. I find it really difiicult to conceal and not look completely washed out (plus trying to find any foundation that actually matches my skin colour!) Also it's strange, because although I am so very pale in winter, show me some sun and I tan really easily into a deep bronze colour, I've never been one for burning.

The main reason I fake tan now is because of my legs. I love wearing mini dresses/skirts/shorts and I find a pair of long bronzed pins a lot more appealing than chalk white pasty ones! So if I have tanned legs I need the rest of my to match!

Jergens Naturals Body Moisturiser

I was approached by a company asking if I'd like to receive a sample of Jergens Naturals body moisturiser, so of course my answer was yes please! Jergens so far has been an American bodycare brand and they're now launching over here in the UK. Here's what arrived in the post for me...

I was delighted with this little box it came in, it's so sweet and pretty!

The unique selling point of Jergens Naturals is that 95% of the ingredients are natural, I think this is the first time I've ever used/heard about a product that can claim that! They're not tested on animals either so a great product for people into caring for the environment/nature! As for the actual product, it smells DIVINE! I used it on my legs and they were left feeling so soft and smooth with a lingering scent, even my boyfriend was impressed! Some of the ingredients included in this product are:

-Shea butter; to protect and revitalise dry, rough skin
-Yoghurt; softens and rebalances natural pH levels
-Soy extracts; contains a high concentration of vitamin E for healthy looking skin

So great things to be packed into a body mosturiser. Another good thing is the price, 200ml costs £4.88, although you can get a smaller 75ml travel size for £2.44. They'll be available in Boots, Superdrug and leading supermarkets so I'm going to keep an eye out for their other ones (Ultra Hydrating and Skin Firming). These little gems also have had great reviews on Makeup Alley.

A big thankyou to Eva who sent this to me!

Peacocks & Primark

These are two of my favourite shops, they sell lovely items for cheap prices. These are some things I bought yesterday...total price £14!

Black quilted bag with chain strap from Peacocks-£8

I love this! I think it's supposed to be a copy of the Chanel quilted bags. Obviously not quite up to Chanel standards but pretty nontheless! I find 'gold' on cheaper items usually looks just that-cheap, and a really bright fake colour. That's why I was so pleased to see this was a more dulled down gold colour.

Bow earrings from Peacocks-£2
I'm still liking bows at the moment and thought these were so cute! I've just realised they match my bow ring which was also from Peacocks!

Black quilted pumps from Primark-£4
These are sweet little pumps with a patent toe. There's about an inch between the end of my toes and the shoe though so I'll be exchanging for a 5. Is it possible for feet to get smaller? I always used to be a 6 but recently I've been finding 5's fit much better, very strange!

Poundland haul!

I'd never thought of going to Poundland for makeup, but then I read Sabrina's post (her blog is http://a-littleobsessed.blogspot.com/ if you want to have a look) and decided to head down there! Here's what I picked up:

Revlon Vital Radiance foundation

I was impressed with this foundation. I think the Vital Radiance range was targeted at older women but this works just fine for me. The colour blends beautifully into the skin for a flawless finish and I love the handy pump!

Cream eyeshadows in white, brown and grey/black
I use the white one as a highlighter, I've yet to try out the others properly but on my hand they look lovely!

Revlon vital radiance eyebrow pencil

False eyeleashes

My favourite are the eyelashes. I'd been wondering if you could buy eyelashes that weren't one length. I love these because they wing out at the edge; perfect for flirty cat eyes on a night out! I've heard the glue isn't any good so I'm going to use the glue from an old Eyelure set. Poundland also do a standard set of eyelashes, ones with diamantes and dramatic, thick black ones. Perfect to stock up on for only £1!
So Poundland is definitely worth a look, I was having a good rummage in all the Vital Radiance products. They also do a lot of other Revlon products and Rimmel lipsticks, eyeshadows and nailvarnishes. They're all packaged in a little purple plastic bag that says something like 'famous brands' on it!
