Summer Shoes

Summer is here (sort of!) so I thought I'd do a post on some of my favourite shoes that will be seeing me through the next few months.
These little pumps look great with tanned legs and some little denim shorts! They were about £3.91 from Primark and come in an array of other colours.

I adore these gladiator sandals! I have already worn them to death as they go with everything; skinny jeans, hotpants, shorts, skirts, dresses! At £3.91, they were an absolute bargain from Primark and I'm considering buying another pair for when these have worn out because as you can see, the straps take a bit of wear and tear and the 'leather' gets scraped off after too much fastening and unfastening. But they're now a staple of my wardrobe and I love them!

These wear from River Island and I was lucky enough to get them for £30 reduced down from £65. I've been needing a good pair of boots for so long and I finally found an affordable pair. These look hard wearing so hopefully the heel will last a while and these can see me through summer and winter.

Any shoes you're in love with at the moment? Oh and I'm also loving white plimsolls, fresh and summery!

Review: Barefaced Beauty

I was kindly sent some Barefaced Beauty products to try. Here's what their website http://www.barefacedbeauty.co.uk/ says about their products:

Pure, natural, mineral makeup. Barefaced Beauty Pure Mineral Cosmetics give the ultimate coverage making your skin look flawless yet feel makeup free and unlike some so-called mineral cosmetics on the market today our cosmetics are 100% chemical free, paraben free, Bismuth Oxychloride free and contain no talc, dyes or perfumes. They are also animal friendly and suitable for vegetarians.

I've never used mineral makeup before so I was excited to test it after hearing so many good things about it in the blogging world.

Foundation: £12.00

I cannot praise the foundation enough. Even with my lack of experience when it comes to mineral makeup, this applied beautifully to my skin and actually did make look flawless! What I loved most about this product was that it provided good coverage but also felt so light on my skin that it truly did feel like I wasn't wearing any makeup. Despite covering all my blemishes, my freckles still peeped through which I really liked and thought looked very natural. Another bonus was that is was so quick to apply compared to my usual foundation routine, which involves moisturiser, primer, liquid foundation and concealer. With the mineral foundation, I simply moisturised and then applied with the baby buki brush. I was done in a minute! A little water can also be added to these foundations if you prefer using a liquid foundation. I think this product is perfect for over the summer where you don't want your face to feel heavy with makeup or like you're at risk of it melting! I'll definitely be putting down my Revlon Colourstay and replacing with this mineral foundation!

Baby Buki Brush: £6.95

I used this sweet little brush to apply the foundation, blush and glow, although I think it would probably be better to apply the foundation with a larger brush. It was soft and gentle on the face and no shedding, which was heaven for me after using my own terrible brushes which molt all over the place!

Blusher: £7.95

The colour I received was Apricot. This gave a really natural flushed look to the cheeks and was very easy to blend. This has now become my new favourite blush!

Eyeshadows: £5.95

The colours I received were Earth (intense dark brown, it actually did looked like soil!) Full Moon (a golden nude), Mocha (coffee coloured) and Emerald (a light olive green). For some reason I can't find these colours on the website, but I loved the neutral tones of these and created a gorgeous smoky eye. These blended into each other beautifully and created a really professional finish. As with the foundations, these can be moistened which allows them to be used as eyeliners.

Glow: £7.95

This glow is gorgeous! It was a bronze/gold colour with tiny gold flecks and I added it to my cheekbones after applying the blush. I was a bit apprehensive about the gold flecks, but on application it gave a lovely soft glow that looked very natural.

Natural Liquid Lip Gloss: £8.00

On first glance I didn't like the look of this as it appeared very metallic and coppery. However, on application it actually was a lot more subtle and blended down to a lovely nude lipgloss with a slight shimmer.

Overall, I don't have a bad word to say about this brand! It's definitely made me see mineral makeup in a new light, and I'm glad I discovered the benefits just in time for summer!
