Liz Earle: Cleanse & Polish and Instant Boost Skin Tonic

I was recently offered the opportunity to try some Liz Earle skincare products. As a student until very recently I've never spent more than £3 on a cleanser so I was looking forward to venturing into the land of luxury and discovering whether it was worth the extra cost. I'd heard good things about Liz Earle so I was so delighted when a box arrived with some beautifully packaged products. I've never been so excited about removing my makeup at the end of the day!

♥ Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

This method involves two phases:

Phase 1 - Cleansing: massage gently onto dry skin to purify, soften and stimulate the circulation.

Phase 2 - Polishing: rinse the muslin cloth in hand-hot water and wring out before polishing off the cream. Finish with a final rinse of cold water to help tighten pores.

The lotion itself is luxuriously thick and creamy with a lovely refreshing eucalyptus scent. Containing smoothing almond milk, rosemary to stimulate circulation, chamomile and skin softening coca butter, this is full of treats for your skin. This cleanser removed every trace of makeup, even stubborn eyeliner and mascara. My skin felt thoroughly cleansed and pure afterwards and I loved using a hot cloth to exfoliate.

After following the instructions and finishing by rinsing with cool water I was left with the softest skin I have ever felt in my life. I was so surprised and impressed by this I trotted off to my fiance and instructed him to stroke my face so he too could marvel over the wonder of this cleanser!

So this really does seem to do everything; it removes makeup, thoroughly cleanses, exfoliates and leaves baby soft skin. It's a joy to use!

A 100ml pump and 2 muslin cloths is priced at £12.75

Instant Boost Skin Tonic

I must admit, except for a brief dabbling in my early teens, I've never used a toner after cleansing as I've never felt the need. However, if you are one to use toners then this could be for you.

With a soft floral scent, this tonic claims to revitalise, soothe and brighten skin. Containing organic aloe vera, cucumber and natural vitamin E this is full of natural goodness. This tonic is gentle on the skin being
alcohol-free so it won't strip or sting the skin and it also claims to add a fine layer of moisture.

These products really did transform a usually tedious and mundane task into an enjoyable, pampering experience. I was also sent the Superskin Moisturiser and Superbalm which I shall be reviewing shortly.

  6. Lol. I'm currently the poor college girl who doesn't spend money on anything other than clothes, books and tuition. It's good to hear that every once in a while the luxury is worth the money :)

  7. I've only tried the Cleanse & Polish but I loved it. It's one of the best products I've tried for removing all-over make up and the muslin cloth exfoliates just enough, without irritating the skin.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Superbalm - I've heard great things!x

  9. I have been a fan of Liz Earle for a good few years now, I think I had my first experience with the Cleanse and Polish when I was back at school and I've always loved it.

I'm even using it now with the Skin Tonic. It seems to be something I always return to it when my skin is appalling, I don't know why I leave it in the first place!

I'm glad you enjoyed your experience! x
