My fiance and I will be moving in to our new home in around 8 weeks time so my search for a beautiful french style dressing table has begun. I'm planning on having a gorgeously girly shabby chic style room (thankfully my fiance won't mind a pink bedroom, he knows I've had my heart set on it forever and it will make me ridiculously happy!) Wallpaper has already been chosen, I'm toying over paint colours and hat boxes and other pretty accessories are at the ready! Now I'm looking for a dressing table to complete the look. Laura Ashley was my first port of call, but with most being around £1000, they are a little out of our price range (we're thinking more £400-£700). I've found a few online stores that sell them at a more reasonable price but I thought I'd ask if anyone else knew of any other shops or sellers that sell lovely dressing tables for a good price.
Any recommendations?
I would love a room like this! There is a shop near me that sells this style furniture for around the £400/£700 mark and some of the dressing tables are gorgeous on it aswell!

I've seen most of those on ebay, I think Im going to get the last one, there are some reeeally nice ones on there, also if you google and look around, you can find lots of good shops :)

ReplyDeleteHiya, I have recently bought one extremely similar which you can see on my blog and I got it from Ebay for £120 bidding on it-complete bargain as it was for the dressing table, mirror and stool :-)

Hi definitely try vintsge/antique shops I have seen a few of these types of dressers around as I love them too. Ebay is always a safe bet and you are bound to find a bargain on there! Happy hunting!!! :) xoxoxox

I went to Battlesbridge in Essex and there was so many shabby chic things there - shame I wasn't buying anything at the time but I'll definitely go back when I am! xx
