To celebrate St Valentines this year, Illamasqua has launched Throb, a mini collection consisting of three new nail vanish shades, a lipgloss and a lipstick.
One of the new additions to the Illamasqua nail varnish family is a rich and creamy yellow under-toned shade, given the risqué name Load. The colour is a unique custard vanilla shade and although I'm not a fan of the colour personally, I know a lot of people will love this as a more wearable alternative to white. It took two coats for an opaque finish and what I like best was that there was no need to add a topcoat for ultra glossy nails.

ReplyDeleteIm so pleased because they have finally opened up an Illamasqua counter in my city and I do have a bit of a thing for solid pastel colours. how many layers of the polish is needed to get that consistency tho? and agreed- the name is pretty off putting, I wonder what the other ones in the range are called. x

ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely on you! I don't usually wear this type of colour on my nails though, so I probably wouldn't buy it myself. I do like the finish of it though! x
