Following on from the post featuring Illamasqua Load nail polish, here's another new nail polish addition which is part of the Throb collection. Illamasqua's Scorn is a matt black nail polish. I hadn't previously tried matt nails and after seeing a couple of reviews of matt topcoats I thought I wasn't a fan. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Scorn. The finish isn't too matt and there's still some dimension to the look. What I have noticed though is that the nail polish is gradually losing the matt effect with each passing day and my nails have started to look glossy. Quite disappointing as I've only been wearing it for 3 days.
Illamasqua's nail varnish is priced at £13.50
Available from Selfridges London, Manchester, Birmingham, Fenwick Newcastle, Debenhams Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff and online at www.illamasqua.com

wow i love it matte shades are awesome <3
ReplyDeleteI really love scorn! I wasn't sure about matte finishes either, but some colours look great matte. However due to my excessive hand cream usage my matte finish nails don't seem to stay matte for long! :)
ReplyDeleteI like long black matte nails, however the matte effect is ugly on short nails :( I would personally prefer a glossy black for myself.
ReplyDeletei love the matte look! on black and other coloursxxx

I'm a big fan of matt nailpolish :)
ReplyDeleteI'm never sure whether to go for matte polishes - i love the way they look on other people, but on me i just think 'blackboard', if you know what i mean!! I can tell i'm going to hvae to get one soon though and get over this weirdness :)
