Our Mauritius Honeymoon...

After two years of planning, our wedding and honeymoon are now over. Thank you all for your lovely messages on our wedding day. It was truly memorable and it's true what they say - it went by so quickly. I want to do it all again!

We've had a sneak peak of some of our wedding pictures and they're beautiful. We'll be viewing all of them on Sunday and selecting the ones we'd like in our album. I'll be writing a wedding day post once we've received our CD of images. 

Our honeymoon in Mauritius was incredible. It was a departure from our usual holidays where we like to experience local culture, take many day trips and where we're generally quite active. We had originally planned an active honeymoon but thank goodness we settled on a relaxing one. We underestimated just how exhausted we'd be after the wedding. The week leading up to the wedding was stressful and filled with late nights. With the excitement of the wedding day itself, the setting up and clearing of the marquee, packing our suitcases (the night before!) and the total 16 hour journey to get to our destination - I've never felt so tired in my entire life. 

Therefore our honeymoon was a chance to relax and enjoy our first experience of ultimate luxury. We stayed at Le Morne in Mauritius and I'd highly recommend it. Everything was outstanding, from the location, the accommodation, the food and the amazing service.
