Boudoir Prive September Box

For all the fellow beauty addicts out there, you will be well aware of the latest buzz in the beauty world surrounding monthly beauty boxes. The latest to launch is Boudoir Privéan online members-only beauty club made to help people discover and try high end beauty brands and products from the comfort of their homes.

How it Works
For a subscription fee of £10 a month you can expect to receive 5-6 deluxe size samples each month. Delivery is free and you can cancel anytime you like. It's as simple as that!

The website is absolutely gorgeous. Feminine, romantic and luxurious, Boudoir Privé is exactly to my taste. The beauty box which arrived didn't disappoint. The pastel pink box emblazoned with the black Boudoir Privé logo looks classically elegant and all the hidden delights inside are beautifully presented. Each box is accompanied by a Boudoir Privé Les Indispensables leaflet which provides details and tips on the samples featured inside the box.

Included in the box:

Tropic Skincare Body Smooth
This 100% natural body scrub not only smells divine, it contains the goodies sea minerals, jojoba and macadamia oil to nourish, smooth and hydrate your skin.

Agent Provocateur L'Agent
I've heard a lot about the Agent Provocateur fragrances but have never sampled them myself. L'Agent has a musky, oriental scent, containing ylang ylang, patchouli and sandalwood.

Macadamia Hair Repair: Healing Oil Treatment
I'm a big fan of hair oils as my constant hair colouring tends to dry out the ends and I'm always on the lookout for new brands. I love the scent of this Macadamia Oil Treatment which left my hair silky soft and smooth.

Colbert MD Nourish: Eye Cream
I have to admit I have never used an eye cream and this is one of the reasons I think monthly beauty boxes are fantastic. Apparently a favourite with Kate Middleton and Sienna Miller and retailing at a whopping £90, this generous sized sample is a fabulous introduction to eye creams.

Zoya Nail Polish in Tao - 7.5ml
Tao is a beautiful steel blue/grey polish with a very subtle shimmer which I know will get a lot of use during the colder months. From Zoya's A/W Smoke & Mirrors collection, full size bottles retails for £9.98 each.

Cargo Cosmetics Boogie Nights Eye Pencil
I stay on the safe side when it comes to eyeliner, preferring to stick to browns and blacks. Receiving the Cargo Cosmetics eye pencil in Blue reminded me that a few years back my signature eye look included wearing a touch of colour on the lower lash line. This navy blue with a touch of sparkle is perfect for me as it's not too bright and will be a great alternative to black during the winter evenings.

Overall I think it's a fantastic concept and well worth doing if you're a beauty fanatic. I've heard people argue that some of the items received in beauty boxes could be obtained for free but for those who don't have the time or inclination to search out new products/test out the multitude of perfumes on offer, this is an effortless way of discovering new items and trying a whole host of new products you wouldnt otherwise get to trial.
