Guest Post: Top 5 Nail Polishes

If you already follow my blog, you will know that I absolutely LOVE nail polish. I love how it can totally 'make' an outfit and how you can pair a colour to suit nearly every kind of situation. I also think it’s amazing how you can allow a little part of your personality to show just through putting a certain colour on your ends of your fingers or toes. I have nearly 100 nail polishes so this was very, very hard to narrow down!

Models Own in Lilac Dream

This beautiful pastel shade has amazing formula and drying time. Not really much else to say about it! This came out before a lot of high street lilac polishes so when I got it, it was quite unique and a lot of people commented on it. I still love it though, it’s gorgeous and perfect for all year round.

Models Own in Nude Beige

I have said this many times on my blog, this is my all time favourite nail polish EVER.  It’s my most used polish and the amazing application and stunning colour just can’t keep me away! I just love it.  This colour literally goes with any outfit and is perfect for work and school as it’s understated but still pretty. I always get compliments when I wear this colour, similar to Lilac Dream.

Beauty UK in Blue Moon

I have yet to come across a polish which is my favourite colour, a cornflower blue with a hint of purple (my prom dress colour), but this is pretty close.  It’s so cheap at £1.99 and it’s a brilliant polish considering the tiny price tag.

Nails Inc in Heather Grey

A mid toned purple with a gorgeous creamy formula.  This was part of the Nails Inc/Diet Coke collaboration so it was a proper bargain! I can also see this being brilliant for work and school because it is quite a muted and sophisticated colour.

E.L.F in Mango Madness

I chose this just because it’s a general coral nail polish (I did try opening my Barry M in Coral but it wouldn’t open and I think I sprained my thumb in the process...) I think everyone needs a coral polish in their collection as it is just the most summery colour ever. Coral also suits a lot of different skin tones which makes it very easy to wear. I think what I love about coral is also that it is a different variation of red and a lot more wearable!
