Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber Cologne

I seem to have avoided the Jo Malone hype for some time – I think I was overwhelmed by the huge array of fragrances available, coupled with the fact they’re on the expensive side and I already own enough perfumes to last a lifetime. But I decided to set aside some time and spend a while in store to see what the fuss was about. Armed with a handful of tester strips, I few spent a few hours deliberating, and I finally made my decision.

My latest love is this beautiful, heavenly scented Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Cologne. I love the luxe packaging – the gorgeous glass bottle encased in a monochrome box with their signature black bow. Earl Grey and Cucumber is not a fragrance combination I would ever be drawn to on paper, but in person, it is absolutely delectable and I’ve fallen head over heels in love with it. With bergamot as the top note, giving it that irresistible tea element, coupled with a hint of fresh cucumber, beeswax, and settling with base notes of vanilla and musk. This lasts really well on my skin and I frequently find myself pausing throughout the day when it softly drifts up to my nose, and I take a moment to appreciate the beauty of this fragrance! It’s feminine, sophisticated, and I can see it becoming my signature scent.
Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber Cologne is priced at £82 for 100ml and available to buy here

I don't really wear perfume because I'm not really big on scents but it sounds like this one seems to be working for you (:

I absolutely adore Jo Malone, I was lucky to get the Pomegranate Noir cologne, candle and bath oil for Christmas, but I also love their English Pear and Freesia scent as a room spray and bath oil. It is unnecessarily expensive in there though, so I know what you mean – I held back for a long time! x

I really, really want to try a Jo Malone perfume- its just so expensive. Like you were, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the choice of fragrances. I like the idea of what you done- going in to test them. Perhaps I'l buy some in the future.

This was my first Jo Malone perfume too and still one of my favourites, everybody comments on it and it really lifts my mood when I wear it! X
