DIY Christmas Stockings & Sack

When I spotted these lovely Christmas stockings and sack on Not On The High Street, I wanted them desperately. I loved the rustic fabric which was in keeping with our shabby chic home and the addition of the cranberry polka dot fabric was the perfect touch of tradition. The downside was the price. With the stockings and sack costing £28 each I knew I wouldn’t be happy spending close to £100 on three items, however lovely they were.
Instead, I enlisted the help of my mum as I knew she would be able to make these in a matter of hours! I bought some hessian fabric from eBay, some polka dot fabric from Dunelm Mill and soon I had replicas for a grand total cost of £12! I think my mum did a fantastic job, especially considering she didn’t even see the picture above, all she had was my sketches!
