Jasper Conran Tortoise Shell Glasses

I’m guilty of relying on my contact lenses a little too much, and after a recent visit to the opticians, I was advised to give my eyes a break and wear my glasses more often. To soften the blow, I thought I’d invest in a fancy new pair. My horrifyingly poor eyesight means thick frames are a necessity rather than a style choice, but fortunately, chunky geek glasses are currently in fashion so I was spoilt for choice. I opted for these Jasper Conran Tortoise Shell glasses – chic, stylish and professional. I’m smitten with anything Tortoise Shell, and I love the monochrome striped cleaning cloth. For the time being I’m enjoying wearing my glamorous new glasses!

As much fun it is playing around with glasses, I am considering laser eye surgery. I can’t imagine the joy I’d feel to wake up and be able to see clearly, have a shower and not squint at everything around me, and remove my makeup and not have to hold my face one inch away from the mirror! Although I have heard if you have a high prescription, or an astigmatism, your eyesight won’t remain perfect and you may need to wear lenses again in the future. Bad news for me because I have both! Have any of you had laser eye surgery or know someone who has?

I had laser eye surgery in November and it's the best decision I have ever made. I too suffered with very poor eyesight and had a slight astigmatism but my eyesight is now perfect. It's such a scary thing to do but it is over quickly and worth it in the long run. It feels great to not have to rely on contact lenses, see when you wake up and just before you go sleep and not have to worry about the uncomfortable-ness of glasses. If your thinking about it I'd say go for it 🙂 xx

I have really bad eyesight (-5.25) and am guilty for wearing my contact lenses WAY too much, but I always feel so vulnerable in the glasses like I'm going to fall downstairs or something! Would love laser eye surgery but also scared of the risks and the unknown. Your new glasses are lovely!

I had laser eye surgery last March and don't regret it. I feel much more comfortable going make-up free without glasses and contacts just seemed to dry my eyes out really quickly after so many years of wearing them so I wasn't getting a lot of use out of them.

Lovely glasses! My friend had astigmatism and she had laser eye surgery and as far as I'm aware, she only has to wear glasses when she gets tired! X

These are exactly the sort of glasses I'm hoping to get come December when I'm due for a check up since I have dreamed of tortoise shell beauties for the past two years. I can completely sympathise with you wanting laser eye surgery but I think I'm too scared to go under that laser! And I quite like wearing glasses some days since it conceals the dark circles under my eyes a bit better than without! (: xx

Grande borne! Agradecimentos para tomar o momento de escrever algo que é realmente leitura do valor. Demasiado frequentemente eu encontro a informação inútil e não a algo que é realmente relevante. Agradecimentos para seu trabalho duro.

welcome
