Fujifilm Instax Mini 8

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 is the perfect way to capture sweet spontaneous moments. There is something novel about having a real, physical photograph in your hand, especially when it is instantaneous. I love the nostalgic and dreamy images it creates, as if you’re already viewing a special keepsake from yesteryear. Unlike digital cameras which allow for hundreds of photographs, taking a polaroid photo requires a conscious thought, the decision that yes, this moment, it needs keep capturing.
The mini prints are ideal for slipping into your wallet as a tangible reminder of your loved ones when you’re going about your day, or slipped into a Project Life album as a way to document the memory that exists within the image. The imperfections add charm and charisma – I cant help but love the blurriness in a snapshot of Henry learning to crawl, the unposed and carefree positions that happen to occur in the fraction of a second that the photo is taken. I love flipping through the collection I’ve built, each one showcasing a special moment, frozen in time.
