Quick Mummy Makeup

Makeup has become somewhat of a luxury now that I’m a mother. Most of my days are spent barefaced, but when I want a little pick-me-up, it feels good to spend five minutes putting some makeup on. Henry enjoys it too – he sits on my knee and has a good rummage through my makeup bag, taking the lids off my lipsticks and patting my brushes on his face.

For giving radiance, I adore Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base, followed by my saving grace, L’Oreal True Match Foundation. The two combined give effortless, natural coverage with a dewy finish. To conceal those dark circles, I’ve been using Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer with a touch of Benefit Erase Paste in the corner to lighten and brighten. If my skin is looking a little lack lustre, I always turn to The Body Shop Baked-To-Last Bronzer, which gives a soft glow to the skin. I love Benefit Posietint for giving a pretty flush of the most delicate pink to the cheeks, and if I’m feeling really fancy, I’ll curl my lashes with my Tweezerman Procurl Eyelash Curlers, which instantly open up the eyes, and add a coat of Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara. To finish the look, I add a gentle wash of colour to the lips with Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Demure – my new favourite lip product. The balmy formulation keeps lips hydrated and leaves a semi-gloss finish. To hold all my essentials, I use my beautiful rosebud pink leather pouch from The Handpicked Collection. Officially described as a mini iPad envelope, I can see myself using this in all sorts of ways – makeup bag, clutch, official family passport holder – the possibilities are endless!

I love the erase paste myself and that lip pen color does look lovely.

I love make-up but I just don't have the time to put it on unless we're going out. I'm going to look at trying new stuff as I'm finding my skin is changing as I'm getting older. I'll have to look out for these products but I'm also liking Bobbi Brown and Dior.

The Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Demure is one of my favorites and is almost always in my purse for on the go.

These are great products! I love the Revlon Colorburst line too! I have that same color, and it goes with everything and is very moisturizing!

Your blog is so lovely. I stumbled across it years ago and always pop back for recommendations. I'm going to give that Body Shop bronzer a whirl!

This is enough to have for doing makeup because you are having less number of items.

I am a fan of the True Match foundation, and absolutely love the rosy pink hues in this photo. My makeup seems to take an eternity to apply – I think I just need to focus!
